2025-2027 Officer Election
The AAUW Pennsylvania state board is actively seeking nominations for the following officers for a two-year term from 2025-2027:
Membership Vice-President: The membership vice president is specifically responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and reporting membership activities. More information is here.
Secretary: The secretary shall record and keep minutes of all business, board, and special meetings and is the member designated to record and make available upon request the minutes of each meeting and board meeting. The secretary shall perform such other duties as the president and board shall direct. More information is here.
Finance Officer: The finance officer shall be responsible for collecting, distributing, and accounting for the funds of the Affiliate and for meeting specific deadlines. The finance officer shall serve as custodian of all funds and securities and as the designated contact for finance to AAUW. More information is here.
Meeting Obligations:
The state board currently meets four times annually: in July, October, January, and April or May (in even-numbered years, at the State Convention). The January meeting is typically held on Zoom. Other meetings are expected to be in person. Board expenses related to the position and most expenses for attendance at in-person meetings, whenever they are held, are reimbursed by AAUW Pennsylvania.
How to Nominate Another Person:
Complete the Candidate Nomination Form, linked here and in the September Keystoner. Get that candidate’s permission to submit the nomination form. Submit the form to Deb Roney (by email at aauwpanominations@gmail.com or by mail at 1211 Allison St NE, Washington, DC 20017-2707). Email is preferred.
How to Apply Yourself:
If you are the candidate, whether self-nominated or nominated by another member, submit the Candidate Application Form, linked here and linked in the September Keystoner, along with a well-focused head shot (head and shoulders) of the candidate, to Deb Roney (aauwpanominations@gmail.com or by mail at 1211 Allison St NE, Washington, DC 20017-2707). Email is preferred.
