Nomination and Election

Voting Instructions:  AAUW-PA 2024 Officer Election

February 23 – April 30, 2024

 The annual election for AAUW Pennsylvania began on February 23, 2024 (members received an email announcing the election) and continues until 11:59 pm April 30, 2024. This term, positions up for election are: President, Program Vice President, and Marketing & Communication Vice President. All The votes will be announced and ratified at the affiliate’s annual meeting on May 4, 2024. There will be NO in-person (or synchronous on Zoom) voting during the annual meeting on May 4.

We are fortunate to have three outstanding candidates for the open positions – Cindy Hall, Lori Woods, and Rebecca Gardner. Candidate biographic information can be found here.

Instructions for voting are outlined below.

 OPTION 1: ONLINE VOTING — available February 23rd through 11:59 pm, April 30, 2024

This is the preferred method for individual members to use for voting.

  1. Click on the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2024_Officer_Election or copy and paste this link into your browser.
  2. Clicking this link will bring up an initial screen that will include instructions and three boxes asking for voting confirmation information: 1) first name, 2) last name, and 3) AAUW affiliation, branch name, C/U rep, or national membership. This information will not be connected to your vote. Voter names and AAUW affiliation are required only to verify that you are a current paid AAUW-PA member and that you are not voting multiple times.
  3. Clicking the “next” box on the first screen will bring up the actual ballot: candidate names for the nominees for President, Program Vice President, and Marketing & Communication Vice President along with an option for each office for a write-in candidate.
  4. Be sure to hit “Done” at the end to record your votes.

OPTION 2: PAPER BALLOT VOTING — available now through 11:59 pm, April 13, 2024.

  1. Print and return the official ballot at this link.
  2. Follow the instructions on the official ballot.
  3. Return your completed ballot to your branch president (for bulk mailing, if offered by your branch) OR mail your ballot directly to the Nominations and Elections Committee chair at the address on the ballot.
  4. To be valid and counted, mail-in ballots must be postmarked no later than April 13, 2024.

OPTION 3: VOTING THROUGH YOUR BRANCH — available now through 11:59 pm, April 13, 2024.

As a convenience to members, branches may choose to hold a vote at a branch meeting.

Your branch President/Administrator(s) has been sent the instructions to conduct this vote if they choose this option. Please check with your branch leadership to see whether they are planning to use this option.  If not, please vote using Option 1 or Option 2 above.
