Subject: Get Out the Vote

 Dear Dr. Duckworth,

The purpose of this letter is to urge Dallastown Area High School to support the national Get Out the Vote campaign by requesting that you set aside a specific day or two for qualifying students and employees to register to vote or change voter registration information, if you have not already done so.   Now that voter registration can be done on line, the process can take place in the classroom or in computer labs.

The deadline to register is October 11, 2016. To register you must be a United States citizen, be a resident of Pennsylvania and your election district for at least 30 days before the next election and at least 18 years of age on or before election day. Election day this year is November 8, 2016.

The American Association of University Women is committed to encouraging both women and men to vote in our elections and we hope that you will be a partner in this endeavor. Thank you in advance for your attention to this important National campaign.
