For 40 years, AAUW had the honor of bringing thousands of college women together from across the country for leadership training, inspiration, and networking at the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL—affectionately pronounced “nick-whistle”).
NCCWSL was founded by AAUW and is now hosted by NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education). AAUW continues to support student participation in NCCWSL through national scholarships and state-level grants, including those offered by AAUW Pennsylvania.

* Registration fee includes all meals during the event. Housing options are in an on-campus residence hall at the University of Maryland.
YOU ARE A STUDENT AND WANT TO ATTEND NCCWSL
Option 1 — Apply for an AAUW Pennsylvania Grant
Apply for an AAUW Pennsylvania grant of $585 for woman-identifying undergraduate and graduate students attending colleges and universities in Pennsylvania to help cover the NCCWSL registration fee and room accommodations. Travel costs are the responsibility of the recipient.
AAUW Pennsylvania NCCWSL Grant Process (2026)
- Four grants of $585 are available to be awarded
- Application deadline: Sunday, March 30, 2026, by 11:59 PM
- Email your completed application to: aauwpacu@gmail.com
- Recipients will be informed of selection status via email no later than Sunday, April 6, 2026
- If you accept the grant, you must register and pay the NCCWSL registration costs before April 10, 2026, and immediately email registration confirmation to aauwpacu@gmail.com
- If registration confirmation is not received by April 10, 2026, the grant will be considered declined
- AAUW Pennsylvania will send a check for $585 as reimbursement of NCCWSL registration costs to the mailing address listed on the application

Option 2
Apply for a NCCWSL scholarship from AAUW. Scholarships will be awarded to AAUW Student Associates. All students at College/University Member campuses can join AAUW for free.

The National Scholarship Application will open on April 1, 2026, and close on April 11, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST. Applications must be submitted online to be considered.
Scholarship recipients must be active AAUW Student Associates. The application link will be sent to all Student Associates and will be available on the AAUW NCCWSL page on April 1.
