Hello Voter Registration Volunteers!
Thank you for helping with these important events. We greatly appreciate it.
Here are some tips to help you:
- Voter registration tables contain only pens, pencils, voter registration forms, voter stickers, pins, and branch brochures.
- NO candidate information, position papers, or candy are allowed on the voter registration table.
- You may not refer registrants to the AAUW table for any political information.
- You may explain the difference between joining a party and registering independently. You may NOT recommend a party.
- You may refer students to the AAUW table for more information about AAUW.
- You may register students who are over 18 years old and have resided in the present location for at least 30 days before Election Day. So… most students are eligible to register and vote.
- Voter registration deadline in PA is October 11th.
- Please check the application BEFORE the registrants leave the table.
- They must check: two boxes: verifying that they will be 18 on Election Day and that they are a U.S. citizen
- Double-check the date of birth.
- ID Number: driver’s license or state-issued ID or the last four digits of their SSN
- They must sign the form!
PLEASE COLLECT THE FORMS AND RETURN THEM TO (enter branch member name here). THE FORMS WILL BE DELIVERED TO THE APPROPRIATE ELECTION OFFICE.(Or enter your branch’s arrangements here) IT IS OKAY FOR A STUDENT TO MAIL IN HER OR HIS FORM. JUST PLEASE KEEP A TALLY OF THOSE THAT DO. KEEP A COUNT FOR EACH EVENT AND MAKE A NOTE FOR YOUR BRANCH AND STATE PUBLIC POLICY CHAIRS AND REPORT BACK TO NATIONAL USING THIS LINK: http://bit.ly/AAUWEventForm
