National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL)

For 39 years, AAUW had the honor of bringing thousands of college women together from across the country for leadership training, inspiration, and networking at the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL—affectionately pronounced nick-whistle)

Beginning in 2025, the organizer for NCCWSL will be NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education). This is what NASPA says about NCCWSL.

* registration fee includes all meals during the event, and housing options are in an on-campus residence hall at the University of Maryland.

YOU ARE A STUDENT AND WANT TO ATTEND NCCWSL

Option 1
Apply for an AAUW Pennsylvania grant of $585 to college undergraduates and graduate students attending colleges/universities in Pennsylvania to cover the NCCWSL registration fee and room accommodations. Travel costs are the responsibility of the recipient.

AAUW Pennsylvania NCCWSL grant process.

  • Four grants of $585 are available to be awarded
  • Recipients will be informed of selection status, via email, no later than Sunday, April 6, 2025.
  • If you accept the grant, recipients must register and pay the registration costs to attend NCCWSL, before April 10, 2025 and immediately email aauwpacu@gmail.com the registration confirmation.
  • We will assume you have declined the grant if the registration confirmation is not received on or before April 10, 2025.
  • AAUW Pennsylvania will send a check for $585, as a reimbursement of the NCCWSL registration costs, to the mailing address on the application.

Option 2
Apply for a NCCWSL scholarship from AAUW.  Scholarships will be awarded to AAUW’s Student Associates.  All students at College/University Member campuses can join AAUW for free!

  • Go to https://www.aauw.org/resources/events/nccwsl/ for the application and more information.
  • The National Scholarship Application will open on April 1 and close on April 11 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Applications must be submitted online to be considered.
  • Scholarship recipients must be active AAUW Student Associates. The application link will be sent to all Student Associates and will be available on this page on April 1.

Option 3
Register to attend NCCWSL without applying for a grant or scholarship.

  • Yes, you will need to register with NASPA, yet you don’t have to join
    • The NASPA account is to ensure accurate name badge information and to capture any accessibility or dietary needs.

  • Send an FYI email to aauwpacu@gmail.com no later than Sunday, March 30, so we know how many grants are available to award

Donate any amount you wish to AAUW’s NCCWSL fund.
