Note: There is one ballot for officer positions and another ballot for the proposed bylaws amendments (on this page, further down). See the 2025-27 Officer Election page for information about that balloting: https://aauw-pa.aauw.net/about/nominations/

All votes will be announced and ratified at AAUW PA’s annual meeting at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 3, 2025.  Note: There will be NO in-person (or synchronous on Zoom) voting during the annual meeting.

Instructions for Voting on Bylaws

There are proposed bylaw amendments, along with rationales for each proposal, describing the proposed amendments and why we recommend them. For reference, if needed, find the Current Bylaws here.

Voting on bylaws is ONLY available online through a SurveyMonkey link sent to you in the email to all PA members on April 1.

If someone in your branch is unable to access the online ballot, please find someone to help provide that access.

The proposed amendments are intended to improve the clarity of our bylaws. Among other things, they

  • reorganize information more logically,
  • provide parallel section formatting (if some subsections in an Article have names, all those sections should have names),
  • remove unnecessary duplications,
  • clarify wording, and
  • clean up small errors (e.g., typos, etc.) in our organization’s bylaws.

Note: We cannot change anything in Articles I-VII. All wording there is mandated.

HOW TO VOTE: The Survey Link is available April 1, 2025, through 11:59 pm, April 30, 2025

  1. Review the proposed bylaw amendments and the list of changes with rationale statements.
  2. Click on the link in the April 1 email or copy and paste it into your browser.
  3. This link will bring up an initial introduction screen that will include instructions and links to copies of the proposed bylaws changes and rationales for them. The following page will contain three boxes asking for voting confirmation information: 1) first name, 2) last name, and 3) AAUW affiliation: branch name or national membership. This information will not be connected to your vote. Voter names and AAUW affiliation are required only to verify that you are a current paid AAUW-PA member and that you are not voting multiple times.
  4. Clicking the “next” box on this screen will take you to a series of screens on the proposed bylaws amendments. You have a choice of 1) voting on them all at once, 2) voting separately on all of each of the two types in two groups, or 3) voting on each proposed amendment individually.
  5. Be sure to click “Done” at the end to record your votes.
